As a top communications leader at United Technologies Corp., I interacted continuously with these audiences to advance and protect UTC's reputation while also creating a favorable business environment.
Challenges ranged from CEO transitions and multibillion-dollar M&A, to quarterly earnings, restructurings, and sustainability initiatives. In a global company, I also worked closely with overseas colleagues on communications tactics to influence audiences on multiple continents and myriad cultures.
Succeeding in today's high-tech communications environment also demands approaches that are both dynamic and digital. That's why I pioneered UTC's social media efforts, creating UTC’s first headquarters Twitter account, developing multiple web microsites, organizing an in-house social media conference and overseeing the in-house video production team. At the same time, I developed new ways to boost corporate performance in award competitions.
